Athlete first
Build around the person performing the workout.

Our story
The idea for BARK started at Bark River CrossFit in Wisconsin.
From Bark River to something bigger
We showed up, followed the programming, worked hard, and tracked our results. But we kept thinking about how much more technology could do for the experience.
What if you opened your workout each morning and knew exactly what to do—not just what was programmed, but how to approach it based on your experience, abilities, and training history?
What if AI could help you understand the workout, recommend an approach, remember what worked before, and give you insights that made every training session more meaningful?
What if coaches had that same context before class, so they could spend less time figuring out where each athlete stood and more time actually coaching?
And what if programming companies could understand how their workouts were experienced across athletes and gyms—not just what was prescribed, but how people performed?
That idea became BARK FITNESS.
A modern training platform that brings programming, athlete history, coaching, and AI together to help everyone get more out of every workout.

What we believe
Great programming and great coaching are foundational to athletic progress. Technology should support both—helping athletes understand training, coaches focus on people, affiliates build stronger communities, and programming companies understand the impact of their work.
Build around the person performing the workout.
Support human judgment rather than replace it.
Preserve methodology and intended stimulus.
Make training history and outcomes useful over time.
Remember that fitness is about people, not just metrics.
